Creative Directions Counseling was established by Edward “Franc” Hudspeth, PhD, LPC, NCC, R.Ph., RPT-S, ACS, Board Qualified Supervisor.  Dr. Hudspeth graduated from the University of Mississippi's School of Pharmacy in 1989 and became licensed in Mississippi and Arkansas. After eight years of practice as a pharmacist, he returned to the University of Mississippi and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and French in 2000 and Masters of Education in Counseling in 2002. Dr. Hudspeth was then recognized as a nationally certified counselor. In 2004, he became a licensed professional counselor. In 2005 he gained the Registered Play Therapist credential and in 2007, he became a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. His most recent achievement was earning a doctoral degree in counselor education. He is also an approved clinical supervisor and a Mississippi board qualified supervisor.

Franc served 6 years at the Oxford Play Therapy Training Institute. For three of the six years, he served as the assistant executive director. Franc is the past President of the Mississippi Association for Play Therapy. He has 7 years of experience as a counselor, and has trained and supervised numerous other professionals in the fields of counseling and play therapy. His professional memberships include the American Counseling Association, Mississippi Counseling Association, Association for Play Therapy, and the Mississippi Association for Play Therapy.
